Michelle Wilson brings 22 years of experience in public education, marked by her unwavering commitment to student growth, innovation, and career-connected learning. She currently serves as the principal of The Hub for Innovative Learning and Leadership (The HILL) in Fayette County, where she leads transformative work that bridges education, industry, and community to prepare students for high-demand, high-skill careers.

Her diverse career includes roles as a business and marketing teacher, assistant principal, and eight years as the head principal of Elkhorn Crossing School, an award-winning career and technical school in Scott County. Wilson also served as a Persistence to Graduation Program Consultant at the Kentucky Department of Education, where her leadership was recognized with the Strategic Excellence and Achievement Award for creating vibrant, student-centered learning experiences across the state.

Throughout her career, Wilson has been a champion for powerful partnerships with business, industry, and postsecondary institutions, ensuring students gain authentic, hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world success.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Arts in Education in Instructional Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. A proud mother to Emily, a freshman at the University of Kentucky, Wilson brings both professional expertise and a parent’s perspective to her work. She is driven by a strong belief that schools have the power to change lives and shape the future.
