Applications for the 26-27 School Year at The HILL are now open via the link below!
In our inaugural year, The HILL welcomed 1,200 students into cutting-edge, career-driven programs—chosen from more than 3,000 applications from across the district.
All students who want to attend The HILL for the 2026-27 school year must fill out a new application. Student applications are holistically reviewed by The HILL administrative and counseling team on a number of factors, including previous CTE course(s) participation, behavior, attendance, credit completion for scheduling eligibility, and grade level. Students must reapply each year.
Our admissions process is your first introduction to the professional standards and energetic atmosphere of The HILL. Think of this application not just as a form, but as your initial professional engagement: an opportunity to showcase your unique strengths and your passion for what you want to achieve. We are excited to meet you!
Eligibility Requirements:
The HILL serves students from Fayette County Public Schools in grades 9 - 12. Students must be currently enrolled in FCPS to apply.
Show Your Strengths:
We look for well-rounded individuals. The application intentionally blends qualitative and quantitative data—from academic records to personal responses—to ensure you have every opportunity to demonstrate your qualifications. The application should take students approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Please Note: The HILL Student Application should be completed by the student candidate. Families, we encourage your support of students as they complete the application independently.
Remember, This Application Represents Who You Are:
At The HILL, we value integrity and authenticity above all else. The open-response questions in this application are your opportunity to demonstrate your unique perspective, communication skills, and critical thinking.
We expect all qualitative responses (essays, short answers, and personal statements) to be solely your own work. This means:

No Generative AI: Do not use tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other large language model (LLM) to write, outline, or significantly revise your answers.

No Parent or Tutor Drafting: Responses must be composed by the student applicant.

Students must answer all three questions below. If you would like to participate in these questions verbally through a video, you may record yourself upload a video version of your responses in the final question. If you choose this option, please make sure to open your sharing settings on the video so that it is accessible.

Students for whom English is not your first language: You may choose to write in the language you are most comfortable in! We'll work to translate your responses for our team.
