Aviation & Drones Technology
Grades 9-12
Aviation refers to the design, development, production, operation, and management of aircraft, including airplanes and helicopters, for transportation., recreation, or military purposes, as well as related support services and infrastructure.
This program that gives high school students hands-on experience in flight, drones, and aerospace technologies. Students study principles of flight, navigation, weather, FAA regulations, and aviation history while training on advanced simulators and preparing for the FAA Part 107 drone certification. Partnerships with airports and aviation organizations provide career exploration, mentorship, and real-world learning that prepare students for success in college or the aviation industry.
