Digital Design & Game Development

Grades 9-12

Digital design and video gaming development involve creating visual elements, such as characters, environments, and user interfaces, using computer software and artistic skills to enhance gameplay, aesthetics, and player immersion.

A program that provides a thorough understanding of techniques for designing 3D and 2D games and simulations. The courses will cover 2D and 3D graphics, animation, character development, texturing, lighting, cameras, audio, particle systems, scripting, storyboarding, and game setup using state-of-the-art software development tools. Students will learn to use Unity and develop the skills necessary to create 3D graphics and applications that can be used for games and simulations. Advanced students demonstrate skills through project based learning with industry examples.
