Emergency Medical Technician training emphasizes rapid assessment and treatment of patients in critical situations, equipping individuals with the hands-on skills and technical knowledge necessary for effective emergency response and pre-hospital care.

This program teaches the fundamentals of emergency medical care, with emphasis on patient care and safe transport. It prepares students for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians exam. EMTs provide out-of-hospital care and transportation, stabilizing patients in both routine and life-threatening situations. They function as part of the EMS system under medical oversight, using basic ambulance equipment and serving as a vital link between emergencies and the health care system.
