The Pre-Pharmacy program prepares students to explore the world of medications, patient care, and pharmaceutical practice, providing a strong foundation for advanced pharmacy studies and a future in improving health and well-being.
Pre-Pharmacy prepares individuals, under the supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to prepare and provide medications, assist patients, and manage pharmacy operations. Instruction includes medical and pharmaceutical terminology, pharmacology principles, drug identification, lab procedures, prescription interpretation, patient communication, safety, record-keeping, and measurement and testing techniques – all with integrated experiential learning.
