NTI

On NTI days, all teachers will post asynchronous assignments on their Canvas courses by 8:30 a.m. Students should log in to each course to complete the required work.

Teachers are available for virtual support from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. via Google Meet, and the link is posted on each teacher’s Canvas page.

Participation, Not Attendance

• Students receive participation through completion of the assignments for the NTI day
• Students have three days to turn in assignments once they have returned to school

Using Google Meet

To meet with teachers during the optional office hours, students should use the specific Google Meet link provided by that teacher. Students need to be logged into their FCPS Google account, NOT their personal email.

Expectations While Using Google Meet

Audio:	Video:
Enter Meet with your audio turned off. Turn on the microphone when called on and turn it off when you finish speaking.	Enter Meet with your Video off. Follow your teacher’s directions on whether to turn on your video; however, students always have the option to keep their camera turned off. Wear appropriate clothing for school. Before turning on your camera, look at what is around and behind you.   Do not take your device into the bathroom with you.
Chat:
Use kind and appropriate language and images.
Leaving The Session:
Wait until permitted to leave the Google Meeting. Leave the session if your teacher asks you to do so.
