A: Yes! When you’re not at The HILL, you’ll attend your home high school to complete your required classes and stay connected with your school’s community and activities. The HILL is designed to complement your high school experience while preparing you for future career success.
Q: Will I attend all day or just part of the day?
A: The HILL operates on an A/B block schedule, giving you flexible options. If you select one pathway, you’ll attend The HILL for either the morning or afternoon session every other day. If you select two pathways, you’ll attend The HILL for either the morning or afternoon session every day.
Q: What are my transportation options for getting to The HILL?
A: Transportation is provided by Fayette County Public Schools. You’ll hop on a bus from your home high school to The HILL and back. If you drive, you may choose to transport yourself. Families also have the option to drop off students for the morning session or pick them up after the afternoon session. No matter how you arrive, we’ll be ready to welcome you.
Q: Can I still participate in sports and extracurricular activities at my home high school while attending The HILL?
A: Absolutely! You’ll have the chance to participate in clubs, sports, and other extracurricular activities at your home high school.

A: Yes, you can definitely still be part of the band, orchestra, or any other musical group. At The HILL, we believe in hitting all the right notes, so you’ll have the perfect harmony between your passion for music and hands-on career learning.

A: The classes at The HILL are designed to count as elective credits toward graduation requirements. These hands-on, career-focused courses help you develop valuable skills while staying on track to graduate. Additionally, they offer the opportunity to earn industry certifications within your chosen pathway.

A: At The HILL, most programs take two years to complete. Each program features unique requirements and exciting opportunities, such as dual credit with postsecondary partners and hands-on, work-based learning that provides real-world, on-the-job experience. Students must reapply each year.
