Work-Based Learning
Connecting talented students with real-world opportunities through internships and co-opsAt The HILL, students don’t just learn about careers—they live them. Across 19 pathways, from aviation to cybersecurity and welding to prenursing, students gain hands-on experience, college credit, and industry certifications. We invite local businesses to partner with us by hosting co-ops and internships.
What's The Difference?
Internships
A structured short- or long-term experience that allows students to explore a career field. Often unpaid, internships focus on exposure, skill-building, and mentorship, without requiring a set number of hours.
Co-ops
A structured, longer-term paid position where students actively apply their skills on the job. Coops emphasize productivity, responsibility, and career-ready job-readiness, with required minimum hours.
